Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps on iOS in Brazil, Q4 2023

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the leading navigation and maps applications on the iOS platform in Brazil displayed a range of performance metrics. Here's a closer look at the trends for the top 5 apps based on Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps saw fluctuating download numbers, starting at 204K in late September and peaking at 262K in the week of December 4. Weekly active users remained robust, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter, starting from 5.6M and reaching approximately 5.7M by the last week of December.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a notable increase in downloads, growing from around 47K in late September to a high of 96K in the last week of December. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend, starting at 3.7M and peaking at 4.1M in early December, maintaining a strong user base throughout the quarter.

Google Earth had relatively stable download numbers, with minor fluctuations between 10K and 15K. Active users showed a slight decline, beginning at 51K in late September and decreasing to about 47K by the end of December.

Magic Earth Navigation & Maps had lower download volumes, with a peak of 6.4K in late September and dropping to around 556 by the last week of December. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 7.8K and ending the quarter at approximately 3.4K.

MAPS.ME: Offline Maps, GPS Nav showed stable download numbers, peaking at 3.2K in mid-October, and maintaining around 1K towards the end of December. Active users grew from 6.4K in late September to a high of 9.2K in mid-October, stabilizing around 6.9K by the end of the quarter.
